Privacy policy

FERRES–Solutions Financières (“FERRES”, “we”) provides mortgage brokerage services in Quebec. This policy applies to the ferres.ca website and to the information you send us through its forms, by phone or by email. It complies with the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), as amended by Law 25.

For any question, access request or complaint about your personal information, write to the person in charge:

Information we collect

Application forms (home page and Apply page):

• first name, last name, email address and phone number;
• type and amount of the loan you are seeking, payment frequency, province and your own assessment of your credit history;
• homeowner or tenant status, property type and the address of the property offered as security;
• the optional message you choose to add.

Calculator: the amounts you enter stay in your browser. They are not sent to us.
Phone and email: the information you choose to share with us.
Technical data: our host may record your IP address and browser type to keep the site secure and working properly.

Why we use it

• to review your financing application and determine which solutions suit your situation;
• to communicate with you about your application;
• with your consent, to present your file to lenders or financial partners in order to obtain an offer;
• to meet our legal and regulatory obligations;
• if you accept advertising cookies, to measure the effectiveness of our ads.

We do not use your information for any other purpose without your consent, and we do not sell it.

Your consent

Before sending a form, you check a box to consent to the use of your information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to info@ferres.ca, subject to our legal obligations. Withdrawing your consent may prevent us from following up on your application.

Disclosure to third parties and outside Quebec

We use service providers that process certain information on our behalf, solely for the purposes stated. They are located outside Quebec, mainly in the United States:

• Formspree (United States): forwards the content of the forms to our mailbox.
• Google (United States): Google Maps Platform suggests addresses based on what you type in the address field; Google Fonts provides the site's fonts, which sends your IP address to Google.
• Meta Platforms (United States): the Meta pixel, loaded only if you accept advertising cookies.
• Netlify (United States): website hosting.

Your information may also be disclosed to lenders or financial partners when necessary to process your file and with your consent, or to the authorities when required by law.

Cookies

Advertising cookies are disabled by default. They are enabled only if you click “Accept” in the banner. You can change your mind at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page.

Retention

We keep your information for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or longer if the law requires. It is then securely destroyed or anonymized.

Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to your information is limited to the people who need it to process your file. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious injury, we will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information and the persons concerned, as required by law.

Your rights

• access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy, including in a structured, commonly used technological format;
• have inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal information corrected;
• withdraw your consent;
• know what information is collected, for what purposes, who has access to it and how long it is kept;
• request that the dissemination of information about you cease, in the cases provided for by law.

To exercise these rights, write to our person in charge of the protection of personal information. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
